My son who is now in his late 20s and in legal trouble has been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder and bipolar disorder. Reading this book has helped me tremendously understand the disease and assist in his legal defense as well as his healing. I highly recommend it due to it's ease of reading and factual information. Had I read this book when he was in his teens, perhaps the problems he now faces would not have occured.

Jackson, Jean Kim, and Rita Hardiman here take stock of their original theories and offer updated versions of their models. Other theorists, such as Perry G. Horse, Charmaine L. Wijeyesinghe, Bernardo M. Ferdman, and Placida Gallegos present new paradigms and consider future issues which may come to challenge existing theories. Later chapters present examples of the ways in which these models may be applied within such contexts as conflict resolution and clinical counseling and supervisory relationships, and address their utility in understanding the experiences of other racial and ethnic groups. In addition, William E. Cross and Peony Fhagen-Smith present a revised and expanded version of nigrescence theory.

Outstanding New Book on Racial ID Development

If I had discovered this book a few weeks earlier, it would be required reading in my doctoral seminar this semester. This book brings together the latest perspectives on racial/ethnic identity development for African Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, White people, and multiracial people. This is a much-needed book, bringing together these various ideas and bringing us up to date on recent developments in theory.

I purchased this book for a 1-week intensive class on multiculturalism and it really did the trick. I took advantage of the Amazon Prime membership and the book, in mint condition, arrived right on schedule with no wear or tear. Unique perspective on the life of Jesus

This book is written by a man that lived in the Holy Land for many years. Based on his knowledge of Galilee, he writes an account of Jesus' life as a series of travels around Galilee and the surrounding regions. For the first time, the progression of Jesus' ministry made sense to me. I highly recommend this book if you want a better understanding of Jesus' life in the context of the time and place that he lived. There is a second book that deals with Jesus in Jerusalem.

Bargil Pixner has given us a great gift in this work. His attention to detail on Galilee adds a depth that is not found in other works. Most books on the Holy Land read like a dime store tour guide. Bargil Pixner has created a scholarly work that makes the Galilee of Jesus' time come alive for us today.

Topography as the fifth gospel

Nearly 20 years ago I accompanied the author on a trip all around the Sea of Galilee to the sites where much of Jesus' work happened. He was such a powerful teacher and researcher that I was taking careful notes of each demonstration of his findings. Now I find this material available in this book, the very same information, concise and lucid. This is an imperative for good biblical study and interpretation, an invaluable resource for anyone who desires up-to-date details from a practitioner for over 30 years of faithful reading and investigating biblical texts.

This book provides the best overall coverage of the principles and practices of visual systems for the workplace available today. It includes very wise and practical guidelines for real world implementation.
We were so impressed with the book, that we arranged for the author to be the keynote speaker at our quality forum. The live presentation was a great reinforcement of the book. I have read this book 3 times, and plan to read it again soon. I gain new insights every time I read it.

A revolutionary breakthrough for systems organization at all levels

One of the challenges of getting people to "get more organized" at work or at home for that matter is the fact that people are adults. It's hard to motivate adults to become neat and clean simply because it is "good for them", however much one would like to hope so.

Dr. Galsworth's book replaces the kind of policing-of-children approach seen in too many popular approaches to housekeeping (5S) and replaces it with a superbly effective process that she calls "5S+1: Visual Order." Visual Order certainly requires a clear, clean and safe work area. How else would visual information stick on previously dusty, grimy surfaces? But that is not the outcome. The outcome is Visual Order: order you can see; order that functions; order that liberates; order that inspires.

I have applied Dr. Galsworth's practical and insightful suggestions to both my office and home workspaces with phenomenal results. Personally, my productivity has tripled.

I bought this because it is printed in colour and it is one of the recommended textbooks by our prostho lecturer.
It is very thick and heavy. Content-wise, I'm surprised it didn't have any information on post and core. Overall, I am a bit disappointed...

I have benefitied greatly from this well thought out and clearly presented guide to the use of laboratory studies in clinical practice. Unlike other guides which are mainly compendiums of various lab tests as they relate to given diseases, Dr. Ravel's work provides physiolgic/pathophysiologic explanations both as a background for understanding indications for laboratory studies as well as their limitations. As a practitioner of Family Medicine I have enjoyed this work since its 3rd edition; its main weakness is that the current 6th edition (1995) needs to be brought up to date.
