Concise and sharp Bible Study

Although just 81 pages, this short book by Bonnie Thurston gives some unique perspective on the Gospel of Mark. There are just four short chapters, covering the subjects of Discipleship, Economics, and Lifestyle. Chapter 2, WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE, is probably the best in the book.
The section on the blind man of Bethsaida (Mark 8) is absolutely brilliant. The reader can find it in chapter 2, pages 18-20.
Thurston is a self-described "maverick" herself, and encourages us to think again how counter-culture the evangelist was in writing his gospel.
