This book brings all the basic and background elements together for the process involved in preparing parish liturgies. The bulk of the content consists of essential church documents...relative directives... and many helpful "check-list" forms for preparing various liturgical celebrations. The introductory pages present an outstanding summary approach to "preparing" vrs "planning" liturgical celebrations for Catholic parish communities. While published shortly before the arrival of the "New Roman Missal" - because it is based on the principles of liturgical preparation, this presentation is very much "up-to-date". This book does NOT DO the liturgy planning FOR you - thanks be to God! (No "canned content" here!) But YOU WILL DO BETTER in preparing the Church's Liturgy for your parish - with the knowledge and the spirit contained in this book.
